Served as statewide consultant for problem gambling treatment and prevention programs. Developed problem gambling strategic plans, drafted Requests for Proposals, provided administrative staff training and coaching, conducted site reviews, provided technical assistance and training to problem gambling prevention and problem gambling treatment providers.
State of Oregon, Department of Human Services 2007 - 2010; 2014 - Present
Served as Clinical Consultant to problem gambling counselors and provided problem gambling service consultation to State office. Developed technical assistance tools and protocols for gambling treatment providers and problem gambling prevention providers. Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) 2014 - 2018; 2023 - Present
Provided consultation for the development of the MGC Responsible Gaming Framework, evaluated casino licensee applications, provided peer reviews of research reports and studies, assisted with the development of the Strategic Plan for Services to Mitigate the Harms Associated with Gambling in Massachusetts.
National Association of Administrators for Disordered Gambling Services (NAADGS) 2006; 2010; 2014; 2017; 2021 - Present

Voice of Problem Gambling Recovery 2007 - Present
Founded and developed grassroots community non-profit organization's whose mission is "To speak for those affected by problem gambling: Advocate, educate, promote recovery". Served as Executive Directed from 2007 to 2013 and Consultant from 2014 to present.

Responsible gaming consultant; Developed curriculum for responsible gambling training for internet gaming customer service representatives and provided annual training.
State of Louisiana, Department of Behavioral Health Services 2009 - 2011; 2024
Contracted to develop 2-year statewide problem gambling services strategic plan. Conducted needs assessment, facilitated work groups, authored report.
Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) 2023
Served as the independent evaluator of the ADG Division of Problem Gambling’s programs and services. The project utilized evaluative research to assess Division policies and practices to inform meaningful program improvements.
Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling (MCCG) 2018 - 2019; 2023
Assisted the MCCG develop a logic model for the GameSense program and assisted the MCCG’s develop the winning grant application to become the Responsible Gaming Program Manager for the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services 2015
Conducted situational assessment of Ohio's problem gambling services and delivered report entitled, "Improving Problem Gambling Services in Ohio: Consultancy Report."
State of Kansas, Department of Social Rehabilitation Services 2007 - 2015
Served as SRS’s problem gambling services consultant during the development of their problem gambling services system. Provided strategic planning, facilitation, training, assisted in the development of policies, procedures, and Department rules.
The Oregon Lottery 2007 - 2013; 2016-2017
Served as the Oregon Lottery’s problem gambling awareness and responsible gaming program consultant. Assisted in developing several marketing campaigns of RG and problem gambling awareness. Assisted in the development and evaluation of Responsible Gambling VLT Retailer’s Program. Provide general consultation on matters involving responsible gambling.
State of Iowa, Department of Public Health 2008 & 2011
Assisted in development of statewide problem gambling distant treatment program. Develop practice guide, procedures, evaluation tools, and trained providers on use of distant treatment for problem gamblers. Served as technical reviewer for gambling treatment and prevention proposals.

Served as problem gambling consultant to Governor’s appointed Compulsive Gambling Committee, developed and evaluated responsible gambling curriculum for statewide use at casinos licensed by the Department of Gaming, authored problem gambling prevention standards and problem gambling treatment standards, provided training and group facilitation.
