Jeffrey J Marotta, PhD
President, Senior Consultant
Dr. Marotta is an internationally known problem gambling and responsible gaming expert. He serves as President and Senior Consultant with Problem Gambling Solutions, Inc., Chief Scientific Officer with Evive, Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Oregon Problem Gambling Council, and Provisional Graduate Faculty at Pacific University College of Health Professions. Dr. Marotta has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno and is a Internationally Certified Gambling Counselor - II.
Glenn Yamagata, MPhil
Vice President of Data Science and Economic Analysis & Senior Consultant
Glenn Yamagata is an economist and data scientist who has spent the past eight years designing, evaluating, and implementing systems to reduce gambling-related harm. His recent work examines the intersection of gambling, financial technology, cryptocurrencies, decentralized finance, and prediction markets, with a particular focus on understanding emerging forms of risk and harm. Previously, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company and held research positions at The Brookings Institution and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Glenn serves as a Director of the National Council on Problem Gambling and holds an M.A. in Statistics and an M.Phil. in Economics from Yale University.
Paige Vazquez, PhD
Research Scientist & Director of Training
Paige is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and completed a PhD in clinical psychology from Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR, in 2023 with an emphasis in Latino/x psychology.
Paige has worked in behavioral and cognitive research since 2018 and is particularly passionate about culturally responsive and community-engaged research methodology. She has worked with Dr. Marrota since 2021, assisting with and leading problem gambling research projects.
Ashley Greaves, PhD
Research Scientist
Ashley is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Oregon. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology from Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR in 2023.
Ashley has worked on several mixed-methods research projects, including NIH-funded studies, focused on improving health outcomes among underserved and high-risk populations such as Veterans, first responders, and individuals in primary care. Clinically, she has experience as a behavioral health consultant in integrated care settings. Ashley is committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and advancing culturally responsive, community-engaged research that bridges science and practice. She has worked with Dr. Marrota since 2024, assisting with and leading research projects on problem gambling.
Eric Chestolowski, MS
Research Assistant
Eric is a Research Assistant at PGS, Inc. and assists with a variety of problem gambling-related research projects. He is also currently working on his PhD in clinical psychology at Pacific University. He has several years of research experience across academic, medical, community, and correctional settings. Eric is passionate about using science to advance clinical practice with high-risk populations, and he is particularly interested in working with justice-involved individuals to prevent maladaptive behaviors and reduce the cycle of crime.
Ellie Bauer, MS
Research Assistant
Ellie is a research assistant with PGS, Inc and a doctoral student at Pacific University. Ellie has worked in cognitive and memory research for 5 years. She is particularly interested in investigating learning and memory in older adults. Clinically, Ellie is passionate about the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

Haley Hummel, MS
Research Assistant
Haley is a Research Associate with Problem Gambling Solutions, Inc. and is a Psychology Ph.D. student at Oregon State University. Her research interests include health and risk behaviors (such as substance use and problem gambling) as well as examining behavioral health outcomes through the intersection of psychology, public health, and policy. Her goal is to inform how the systems we live in impact individual-level health behaviors in order to strengthen prevention efforts and promote health equity.
Madison Abel
Research Assistant
Madison studies Psychology and Spanish at the University of Portland. She is passionate about developmental psychology and wants to pursue a higher degree in clinical psychology. Madison wants to help underserved communities, such as people with disabilities and those in low-income areas, because everyone deserves access to mental health resources.
Miya Wilson, BA
Research Assistant
Miya is a recent graduate of the University of Portland with a BA in Psychology and Spanish and a minor in English. Her research interests include emotion regulation, child and family contexts, and developmental psychopathology, particularly within longitudinal research. Miya’s long-term goal is to pursue a doctoral degree and continue growing as a researcher. Ultimately, she hopes to contribute to clinical interventions that support children experiencing adversity.
Regina Castillo
Research Assistant
Regina is a Psychology and French Studies double-major at the University of Portland. She is inclined towards research with an emphasis of care for people in need. During college, she has worked both with kids and adults, and is hoping to do the same after college.
Jade Marotta Visual Communications Specialist
Jade is a visual designer with PGS, Inc. and a student at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. Jade has worked for PGS Inc. for four years, transforming data-focused reports into compelling digital and print documents, focusing on how the product looks and feels to the user. She is particularly interested in using her talents to help promote socially conscious efforts and organizations.
